These red clay teapots are designed and produced by Mr. Wang of the Fuchiang Workshop in New Taipei city, Taiwan. Mr. Wang has more than 30 years of experience making teapots, fair cups and tea cups.

The shape of these teapots is named after Xi Shi, the first of four famous Chinese beauties. She lived in the 5th century BC and was sent to a prince so that he would neglect his governing duties. Her seduction was a success and this prince was overthrown.

The lines of Mr. Wang's classic Xi Shi teapots are round and feminine. The surface has a nice soft luster from careful polishing of the clay. The handle is especially comfortable, especially those tea drinkers with larger hands and fingers.

But these teapots are not just about aesthetics; they have a profound impact on the tea brewed inside.

Features:
- Best suited to balled oolongs or strip style teas
- 7 hole strainer
- 240ml capacity
- Choose from two styles: traditional inverted "C" handle and side handle (right handed)

Please note: This is a handmade item - slight variations in the painting, colours, tooling, patterning and kiln effects of Chinese, Taiwanese and Japanese teawares are to be expected.
