Yunnan Pu'erh & Mei Gui (Rose)
Harvest: 2013 (tea) / May 2018 (flowers)
Taste: Dark and smooth with a touch of flowers
This blended tea combines the best of Yunnan: ripe pu'erh nuggets and delicate rose buds. The tea base is called Cha Tou, a kind of tea nugget that forms naturally from the pressures of compression and heat that occurs during the fermentation process.
These Cha Tou were fermented in 2013 at the Yong De Zi Yu Tea Factory in Lincang. The taste is smooth with natural rose notes. The addition of wild-grown Rose Buds from Wenshan Prefecture enhances the floral nuance.
Pu'erh is known for it’s ability to break down fats, and help with weight loss. It is often served after a heavy meal. Rose is popular with women due to its antioxidant and anti-aging properties. It is also purported to enhance mood.
Brewing Advice: 4 grams, 100 degrees, 30 seconds (multiple infusions)
